Oil on canvas, 85 x 41 cm. 2000.

The young girl standing under the deathmask draws the thoughts onto the continous shifting of generations. Her vital and open face dominated by her gaze looking both out and at the same time in her self, is the opposition of the closed and expressless face in plaster above her.

By wearing a fabric on her head, as the deathmask, the young girl tries to identify herself with her forefather, and concludes the sircle of life and death.
