Frognerkilen is the very end of the Oslo fjord. Surrounded by 19th century townhouses and the royal summer residence "Oscars hall" erected by King Oscar II in 1847, the bay lies there calm and shallow. Inspired by impressionist painting Kolby made this little study a very special summer night, letting the lights from the townhouses play in the flat water.
